DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES (PRIVATE INVITATION)

It is a rare opportunity when Bahrain has a visit from a United States 4-Star Retired Combatant Commander.  Please join us for an informal evening talk recollecting stories and experiences that molded a soldier and prepared General (R) Hill for larger and larger Commands and greater responsibility. 

It will be an evening for leadership development. A chance to listen to, and ask questions of, a professional United States Senior Army Officer.

Introduction about the speaker:

General (R) James T. Hill retired from the US Army after 36 years of active service to the nation.  A highly decorated combat infantryman and soldier/diplomat, he served in Vietnam as an infantry platoon leader, recon platoon leader and infantry rifle company commander.  During Desert Shield/Desert Storm, he commanded the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).  As a general officer he served as the Deputy Commander, 25th Infantry Division’s peacekeeping force in Haiti, the Deputy UN Commander, peacekeeping force in Haiti, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Forces Command.  Additionally, he commanded the 25th Infantry Division and US Army Hawaii, as well as I Corps and Fort Lewis.  His last assignment was Combatant Commander, United States Southern Command, commanding all US military forces in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
